Dick always knew Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club would be a big club, even when they were at the brink of extinction when he took over in 1997. The Goldstone Ground had just been sold and the club were just two games away from being relegated out of the Football League. Led by Dick and surrounded by some incredible people who literally gave their all, the club not only avoided relegation but went on to create one of the biggest success stories football has ever seen.
