It’s safe to say that we are well and truly committed to our local community and have enormous passion for preparing the next generation for the world of work.
ICP Group’s founder and CEO, Gary Peters, works tirelessly behind the scenes to inspire thousands of young people into exciting and rewarding careers, both locally and internationally. Driven by his own experiences of the detachment between education and the world of work, Gary is committed to strengthening communities and economies at grassroots level – increasing employment opportunities, enhancing education participation and raising aspirations of our future generations.
Our award winning and headline community programme, Be the Change, was born of this unwavering desire to inspire the next generation and support them to identify and overcome their personal barriers to success.
Co-founded by Gary in 2015, Be the Change is a ground breaking, inspirational programme aimed at secondary school students who may have become disengaged with school or lack confidence in their own abilities; who may struggle academically, but have real potential once engaged in an activity that captures their imagination.
The programme focuses on happiness, confidence, hope, relationships and employability and encourages students to identify their personal barriers to success, before helping them find ways of overcoming them.
Gary’s passion is infectious and as such, many of us at ICP Group are involved in the programme whether helping to run it, volunteering as business guides or simply attending, observing and spreading the word. We are all incredibly proud to be part of something so fantastic.
Be The Change is not our only community focused commitment – we partner with a local charity, Rockinghorse.
Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital who raise money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment, while ensuring that children are treated in an environment better suited to their needs.
ICP Group has been a partner of Rockinghorse for several years and all of our employees take part in various fund raising activities. To enable our people to do this, we offer two paid ‘Charity Days’ off per year to each employee. They can use these for Rockinghorse fundraising or to support a charity of their own choice.
As well as the local community, we have also pledged our responsibility in the following areas:
