  • My client is a leading global satellite operator looking to strengthen their enterprise BU by hiring a high performing IoT Sales Manager to acquire and lead key accounts. Utilising a direct engagement model there will be a focus on supporting strategic customers in the Mining, Logistics, Agritech and Oil and Gas markets.
  • The role will be a mix of responsibilities from generating leads within key accounts, relationship management and deal development and closure. This will be a high-profile role within the business unit.

Essential Requirements

  •  Full Account responsibility for named accounts:

- Relationship
- Design wins
- Revenue
- Account management

  • Supporting new, complex business models to drive EBITDA growth
  • Present at all levels of the customer
  • Lead and negotiate multimillion-dollar deals
  • Ensure due process is followed appropriately
  • Develop account strategy which aligns with both customer and business needs
  • Develop and maintain account plans to describe and document strategy and tactics in the accounts
  • Work closely with Market Development, Solutions and Strategy teams to provide feedback which can be used to enhance Roadmap
  • Managing expectations on revenue, TCV to VP sales, and BU President, to report up to Board
  • Managing C- Level engagements internally and externally with strategic customer
  • Identifying engagement model to fulfil IIoT solution to the customer
  • Ensure Business Unit is aligned and delivers on account strategy
  • Reporting on a regular cadence
  • Maintaining CRM accurately

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Large Strategic Account experience in a technology company of scale
  • Must be able to take responsibility for a customer and work in a matrix environment to solve all customer needs, whilst maintaining ownership and control of the customer and interaction
  • Highly experienced negotiation skills, dealing with multimillion-dollar deals
  • Able to engage at the CxO level, both within the customer and business
  • Experience of complex solution sales within a technical environment
  • Excellent understanding of implementing value propositions and extracting the appropriate commercial value
  • Good commercial and technical understanding of Industrial IoT or associated technology markets
  • Strong and confident communicator with strong relationship building skills
  • Mature and professional lobbying skills
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Confident and credible presenter
  • Ability to adapt and take change in your stride
  • Excel under pressure
  • Very strong people skills; able to show empathy and understanding whilst seeking for the best in professionalism and performance
  • Experience in strategic sales roles in a technical environment
  • A passion for technology and innovation
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment
  • Experience of Mining, Agritech, Oil &Gas, or Global Supply Chain, preferred but not essential.
